Day 10: Wednesday, 30 May, 1984

Today was definitely the hardest day so far. I collected a couple of pledges before leaving. One from a friend of Wendy M., a CUSOBOT [CUSO Botswana volunteer]. Took off for the hill.

Climbed to Hope Slide. What a cataclysm! Then a valley. Then the pass started for real. Wow! It seemed to never end.

Finally made it, started the long ride down and ran into another pass. Allison Pass and then Sunday Summits. Eventually made it to Princeton.

This has been my longest day so far and my first real passes. I'm tired. Anyway, I'm camped right near Princeton.
